Interface
Internet faxing enables the transmission
of hardcopy documents in email format to remote compatible fax units
or to computers via the Internet or a private Intranet. Fax
documents that are traditionally sent over PSTN lines (public switch
telephone network) can now be easily sent over the Internet as email. Not
only does this eliminate long distance and international phone usage
costs, but document management is improved by allowing the recipient
to forward, save, print and archive each document, just like a normal
email.
The Ricoh FAX4410NF and the FAX5510NF can be configured to transmit hardcopy documents by email to any email address or remote compatible fax unit. As well as sending colorized documents by email to PC's.
